I'm not typically a katsu girl and Kagura has totally converted me. Theirs is crispy and delicate, and the pork is melt in your mouth -- no dryness here!! You would never guess from the outside that there is this beautiful warm-lit Japanese-style interior. The waitstaff is so sweet, and don't sleep on the yuzu sorbet..

The seating inside was really nice and reminded me of restaurants in japan. This made it more intimate to separate the different parties so overall a fan of this arrangement. As for the food, I enjoyed the chicken katsu and hamachi overall. I wish they offered their mille katsu with chicken but this one was still pretty good. Service was smooth and the ice cream was more pleasant than i thought. parking may be difficult as they have a lot but it's kind of small. There is street parking as well but will need to hope it's not filled up already.

I'm obsessed with their Millefeuille Cheese Katsu Gozen . We got there around 8, even though they close at 8:30. The waiter was super chill, and the food came out fast. Portions were huge, and the fried stuff was on point. It's a bit of a trek to get there, but totally worth it. This old spot definitely makes me wanna go back again and again.

My wife has brought her mom and our family here a few times, it's for sure a favorite. It has the most beautiful and perfect looking katsu fried food I think I've seen anywhere. The 'menu' items are nice with decent portions and comes with nice Japanese style little sides (each bite size, like 4 different ones) plus a small miso style soup. I tried that Katsu curry here for the first time (only one curry item on the menu, it's mild but nice) - rest are pork or chicken or oyster katsu. The oyster is great, soft and fresh on the inside and crispy outside. Ambiance with the individual wooden tables and pillars separates you nicely from others - wait staff are uber polite and attentive.
